Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actress, singer-songwriter, and musician. She works primarily with Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum Rasoolum marked her Malayalam and Tamil acting debuts. Andrea Jeremiah, born into an Anglo-Indian family from Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's father is a lawyer at the Madras High Court. Her mother is the older sister of a researcher assistant in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai was a student at Chennai National Public School. He graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began learning classical piano around the age of eight. Andrea was a huge enthusiast who aspired to become a psychiatrist. At age 10 she was an active member of the Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the base of her early musical and singing career. She was a stage performer at her school and took part in a variety of plays staged through The Madras Players, EVAM and various theatre organizations. She was president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started her career in theatre with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo commercial for coffee alongside the actor Shiva in 2006. She also acted on the Podhigai Channel in a television show. She acted throughout India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's finale (2005). After she rendered a song in Gautham Vasudev Menon's film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiya she was asked to appear in the role of a lead female character in his next venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani, a housewife with a husband who has an affair. She was targeted for blackmail. Andrea was approached after Simran Shobana's death and Tabu. It was released early in 2010. Her minor role was accepted in Venkat's Mankatha in 2011 in which she starred alongside a variety of actors. Her Malayalam debut on film in Rajeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
