Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She also scored every A grade for her A level examinations. In response to questions about her role in Emmerdale she replied that she regrets having not had the typical university experience. Coleman was part of a group called In Yer Space at her school. The group was in the stage production Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. Along with receiving a prize for her acting, the play she performed was well received. Coleman was given the part of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two prizes. The award was for The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female and Best acting in a Drama. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who revealed in a news meeting held on the 21st of March, 2012, that Coleman will replace Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat claimed that he selected Coleman to play the role of companion because she would perform best alongside Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she talked faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the business since 1987 and was a part of many TV and film projects. However, she is better recognized for her TV shows instead of films. Eva played many parts on the screen, but two stand out: The role of Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the character of Detective Natalia Boavistas' in CSI Miami. It was the former that brought her two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to showcase her creativity via music. Eva is an entrepreneur and also an actor. She has been married thrice and has a daughter from her previous husband.
