Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. The school she attended was the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also gained straight As in her A-levels. Discussing her role on Emmerdale Coleman stated that she regrets the lack of a normal university experience. Coleman played as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she was a part of when she was at school. She was awarded an award for her performance and the production was also praised. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman landed the part of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. In the British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and during the National Television Awards she was named the Most Popular Newcomer. She received nominations for Best Actress, Sexiest Woman as well as Best Dramatic performance at the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman has been nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. The 21st of March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat spoke at a news conference that Coleman was set to play his companion on Doctor Who alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat has chosen her for the role because she was well with Smith and also spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been within the entertainment industry since 1987 and has been a part of countless films and TV productions. The actress has spent more time in films than on TV. From all the characters Eva has been in, the TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which stand out. The actress was nominated two "Daytime Emmys" in the first role in both shows, as well as getting opportunities to express her artistic talents. Eva, in addition to being an actress is also an entrepreneur and a charity worker. She was married three times and has a daughter by her previous husband.
