Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She scored the highest marks for her A level examinations. When discussing her character on Emmerdale, Coleman stated that she regrets not having a conventional college education. Coleman appeared as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival with a company named In Yer Space, which she performed in when she was at the school. She won an award for her performance while the play was also received favourably. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was in auditions at the drama schools. The audition took place in 2005. Coleman won two awards in 2007. At the British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and in the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of the Most Popular Newcomer. She was nominated for Best Actress, Sexiest Woman as well as Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was also nominated as Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series she would play the role of Matt Smith. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman to play the role of companion because she would be the best companion for Smith. In addition, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been in the entertainment industry since 1987. Eva has been more prominent on TV than in films. Eva was in a number of characters on TV, however two stand out: the Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas' in CSI Miami. This particular show brought her two nominations for a Daytime Emmy. Also, she got to show off her artistic side through music. Eva isn't just acting, but she's as well a philanthropist and businesswoman. Eva has three husbands and a child from the second.
