Coleman was born and raised in the town of the town of Blackpool in Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head of the school and gained straight As in her A-levels. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who revealed in a news meeting held on the 21st march 2012, that Coleman would take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat selected her for the role because she worked the best alongside Smith and was able to talk more quickly than him. This particular show gave Eva two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy.' She also got to show off her artistic side by performing music. Eva is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and the philanthropist.
