Coleman is a Lancashire native. She was the head girl for the Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A level. When asked about her Emmerdale character she stated she regretted not having had the traditional University experience. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was a part of a theater company named In Yer Space with whom they performed at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The performance received praise by the audience, and the show received high praise. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman landed the part of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two prizes. The British Soap Awards she was awarded Best Newcomer. Also, during the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of Most Popular Newcomer. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. On the 21st March 2012, Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat spoke at a news conference that Coleman will play his companion on Doctor Who alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat has chosen her due to how well she complemented Smith and also because she spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's performed in television and film projects. She has however been the most well-known TV actress rather than in movies. Of all the roles Eva has been in, the TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which make an impression. Her nominations for two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part, and she also had opportunities to express her creative side through music. Alongside being an actor, Eva is a philanthropist and an entrepreneurial. She has been married thrice and has a daughter by her previous husband.
