Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. She was a headgirl at Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale Coleman expressed regret over not attending a university. Coleman was at high school, was part of a theatrical company called In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. Along with winning a prize for her acting skills, the show it performed attracted a lot of attention. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman got the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two awards. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two awards, The British Soap Awards as the most promising newcomer and the National Television Awards as the most Popular. The British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as the category for Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's partner following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat chose to cast her in the role since she seemed to have the best chemistry with Smith. Also, she spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the industry for over 30 years and is associated with numerous film and TV projects. The most popular of her work is her television work rather than the film industry. Eva is most well-known for her role as the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children as well as detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. This particular show brought her two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy.' She also got to show off her artistic side via music. Eva is a businesswoman, and also an actress. The third man she has married is the father of her daughter.
