Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman was head of the class in the Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A level. When Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale she stated she regretted that she did not have a traditional university experience. For the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female and Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series she would play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat selected her for the role because she worked well with Smith and could talk faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model.
