Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the headgirl and gained straight As in her A-levels. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role she replied it was regrettable that she didn't to have experienced a more traditional college experience. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was part of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The production also received an enthusiastic reception. The show was praised by the audience for her amazing performance. Coleman was offered the role in the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. At the British Soap Awards she was selected as the Best Newcomer. Likewise, for the National Television Awards she was selected as the most Popular Newcomer. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was recognized in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman will be playing his companion on Doctor Who alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her because of how well she complemented Smith and the fact that she spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been involved in the world of film since 1987. In fact, she is more influential in TV-related projects than film. Eva is best known for her role as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and the character Natalia Boavistas on CSI Miami.
