Coleman was from Lancashire and born in Blackpool. Coleman was head of the class in the Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale, Coleman expressed regret for not attending a university. While at school Coleman was part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The performance received praise with a prestigious award, and the production received positive reviews. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two prizes. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two awards, The British Soap Awards as the Best Newcomer, and the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. In 2009, she was awarded nominated in the two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat confirmed at a press conference that Coleman would as the Doctor's companion along with Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat chose her for the role due to her ability to work most effectively with Smith and also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been active in the field for more than 30 years and is involved with numerous film and TV projects. Eva has been more prominent on TV than in films. Eva is best known for her role in the role of the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. The latter gave Eva two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. Also, she got to showcase her creativity via music. Eva is also an entrepreneur, philanthropist and the philanthropist. Eva has three husbands and one child born from the third.
