Coleman is from Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She scored all As on her A level exams. In response to questions about her Emmerdale character she replied she regretted not to have had the typical university experience. Coleman was part of a group named In Yer Space at her school. The group was in the stage production Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. A prize was given to her for her performance, while the play received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman won the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two prizes. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007: Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. The British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female and the Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor following Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat picked her for the role due to her ability to work with Smith, and that she spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her career has been in the world of entertainment since 1987. However she has had a greater presence on television as opposed to films. Eva's roles in TV series Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. Eva was nominated for 2 "Daytime Emmys" for her first part in both shows, as well as getting an opportunity to explore her musical creativity. Eva is, along with acting as an actress, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She has been married three times with a daughter by her second partner.
