Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She was headgirl in the Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A-levels. While discussing her character in Emmerdale she expressed her regret at having not attended a university. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was a member of a company for theatre called In Yer Space with whom she performed in the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. Her performance was rewarded as well as the show was given high praise. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman landed the part that she played in Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. In 2007 Coleman was awarded two prizes. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards, in the British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer, as well as the National Television Awards as the most Popular. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated for categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman has been nominated as Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman was the replacement for Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor when Arthur Darvill left the series will be taking on the role of Matt Smith. Moffat selected her for the role due to her ability to work the best alongside Smith and also spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field of film since 1987. But she's been the most well-known TV actress rather than in movies. Eva is well-known by her character of Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. Eva was nominated for two "Daytime Emmys" in the first role as well as having the experience with her creative side through music. Apart from being an actor Eva is also a donor and an entrepreneurial. Eva is the wife of three husbands, and a child from the second.
