The singer released her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five songs that reached the top charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track in question was unique because it was based on an interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners related to her journey through self-doubt and discovering how to love herself. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on the 11th of July 1996 to Italian parents of Italian descent. The guitar was gifted to her from her parents at the time she was 10 years old, which sparked her passion for music.
