The debut single of hers was released in 2015. It was a huge smash and garnered praise from the public and from critics. It reached number 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it as one of the top songs of 2015. In the same year, she released the album she titled Know It All, the song Scars to Your Beautiful ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. The track was also one of the original five songs. It was a special track because, based on the Rap-Up interview that she did with people who listened to her music could identify with her journey of learning to love themselves and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara's tracks often contain positive thoughts about mental health and the importance of loving oneself. All of Cara's music stems directly from her battle with depression, insomnia and other health issues. According to a Reuters Interview, her album is described as halfway tumultuous, half perfected. Therapy helped her grow and she encourages others to seek out help when needed. Alessia Cara is a Canadian performer who was born on July 11, 1996, to parents of Italian origin. When she was just 10 years old her parents gave her a guitar, which was the beginning of her passion for music. In the age of thirteen, she began singing songs she loved on YouTube in order to show her fans that she had talent and had the courage to make a profession of a musician. Indeed the cover song Sweater Weather was the one that got her noticed by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write and record her own tracks.
