In the year 2015, at age 19, she published her first debut single Here. It received praise from listeners and music critics. In the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it at 19. Even Rolling Stone ranked the track as one of the year's most memorable Songs. Her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five tracks which reached the top of the charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 in addition to Billboard Hot 100. This particular track was special due to her interview with Rap-Up many listeners shared their experiences of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to accept herself. Cara's songs include messages of kindness, self-love and mental health. The inspiration for her music comes from Cara's personal struggle to conquer mental health issues as well as insomnia. In an interview with Reuters the singer described her album as "half turbulent" and "half perfect". Her development was assisted through therapy. She advises other people, if needed, to ask for help. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11, 1996. Her parents gifted her with a guitar when she was 10, and it brought her to music. She started covering her favourite songs at age 13, to prove to everyone that she could sing and had the confidence required to become a singer. In fact, one of her cover tracks Sweater Weather was the track which got her attention by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to create and record her own songs.
