When she was 19 at the time, she dropped Here, her first single. The single was a smash and garnered praise from the public and from critics. The track reached the top 19 of both the Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and on the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the single one of its Best Songs in 2015. In that same year she released her debut album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which reached the top of Billboard charts including The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track is special because, based on her Rap-Up interview she did with the listeners could relate to her experience in learning to love themselves as well as doubting herself. Cara's music is known to include messages of kindness self-love, self-love and mental wellness. The music of Cara is directly from her battle with depression, insomnia and other health issues. According to Reuters interview, she's said that her album was half turbulent however, it is half finished. People have told her that she found her growth during therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. At the age of 10 old, her parents gifted her a guitar, which was the starting point of her musical passion. She started covering the songs she loved at 13 to prove to everyone that she had the skills and the courage necessary to be a singer. In fact, one of her cover songs Sweater Weather became the track which got her attention by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write and create her own tracks.
